Bio
Lifelong Multi-Instrumentalist
This is a site to promote my drumming. However, I'd like to give a little background on me as a musician because it informs my playing and my approach to music.
I am a lifelong musician who lives and breathes music of all kinds, from Mozart to Sondheim to Beyonce. I started with a strong classical music foundation. I began Suzuki piano lessons at age 4 and cello at age 8. I played cello in orchestras for 10 years, where I learned how to play with an ensemble and follow a conductor.
As a teenager, I taught myself electric guitar, driven by a passion for classic rock. I dove headfirst into the Beatles, teaching myself the lead and rhythm parts. I also taught myself bass guitar.
Five years ago, I began my journey on drums. I am conversant in multiple genres, including rock, pop, and basic jazz. I run a gigging cover band that focuses on 90s rock covers.
Though my primary instrument is drums, I still actively play piano, bass, and guitar.
My non-musical career is as an intelligence analyst: 10 years at CIA, followed by Citigroup, and now Recorded Future. As such, I combine a strong musical background with discipline and reliability.
